Real Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao to win the Spanish Super Cup. Real beat Bilbao 2-0 in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. With this, the most successful team in Europe won the Spanish Super Cup for the 12th time in their history.

Real dominated the final at the King Fahad International Stadium. The team kept 56 percent of the ball on their feet in the fight for possession throughout the match. Luka Madrich scored for Real in the 36th minute of the match.Real doubled the lead in the 52nd minute.

The referee blew the whistle for the penalty with the help of VAR when Benzema's shot from the mouth of the D-box hit Bilbao defender Zerai Alvares. The French striker scored the spot kick himself. Bilbao got a penalty in the 7th minute of the match. But Real's goalkeeper Cortoya stopped it. Carlo Ancelotti's side were delighted to win the Spanish Super Cup with a 2-0 victory as there were no more goals in the end.
