Messi lost to Lewandowski

If it hadn't been for Corona, the Ballon d'Or would have been on the Polish striker's showcase. Lionel Messi unfortunately snatched the title this season. Lewandowski could not beat the Argentine superstar for a while.

The winner was announced at The Best FIFA Football Awards, the world's highest governing body, in Zurich, Switzerland on Monday. The coaches-captains of national teams, more than three hundred journalists and football fans around the world voted for the best footballer of the year.FIFA released the list of 11 players in the selection of the best male player of the year on November 22.
