Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-0 in the second leg of the semi-final thanks to a pair of goals from Portuguese star Diego Jotta. And this victory ensured the final of the English League Cup. The first leg of the semifinal was a goalless draw at Anfield.
Liverpool took the lead in the 19th minute at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium. The Portuguese confirmed the victory of Allred in the second goal in the 8th minute. Arsenal's Thomas Party saw a red card at the end of the match.A record eight-time champions Liverpool will face Chelsea in the League Cup final on 28 February. However, the latest success of the Allreds in this season is in the 2011-12 season. The last time they reached the final was in the 2015-16 season.
